Palmer chose the Panthers over scholarship offers from Pitt, Akron, Army, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami (OH), Robert Morris and Toledo. He’s currently listed at 6-foot-4 inches, 225 pounds and has ample room to grow. Pitt continues to heavily recruit his teammate, defensive tackle Devin Danielson (6-foot-3 inches, 295 pounds).

Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke with Palmer shortly after Pat Narduzzi offered him a scholarship.  He presciently stated, “Pitt is huge for me. I’ve grown up all around Pitt and have always wanted to go to Pitt. It’s actually a very high possibility for me, they’re just a great fit for me. I could very well see myself going there.”

Palmer joins fellow class of 2018 commitments, Montvale (NJ) St. Joseph’s HS quarterback Nick Patti (6-foot-3 inches, 195 pounds) and Cambridge (MA) Buckingham & Browne & Nichols HS tight end Jay Symonds (6-foot-5 inches, 257 pounds).
