Blake Zubovic Commits to Pitt

Published

on

Commitment #9 came for Pitt in the form of a big, talented, local offensive lineman.

Belle Vernon offensive tackle Blake Zubovic returned from vacation and gave the good news to the Pitt coaching staff as he visited the South Side this morning.

Zubovic becomes the third WPIAL recruit in this year’s class to verbally commit to Pitt joining Thomas Jefferson’s Noah Palmer and Butler’s Jake Kradel.

Like with Kradel and recent commitment John Morgan, Pitt had to go up against a lot of other big schools to land Zubovic. The big offensive tackle also held offers from Maryland, Penn State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Boston College, NC State, Virginia Tech, Virginia and West Virginia.

Zubovic is Pitt’s 3rd offensive line commitment (after Kradel and Chase Brown) and we’re expecting Pitt to take one or two more offensive lineman.

Pitt was the first school to offer Zubovic and it paid off.

We’ll have more on this big story throughout the day.
