PGH Sports Now is It for Pitt Wrestling Insider Stephen Patrick

We’re adding an entirely new dimension to our Pitt coverage here at Pittsburgh Sports Now and it’s a name that many Pitt wrestling fans will know: Stephen Patrick, founder of the Pitt Wrestling Blog.

Stephen joins the PSN staff at a pivotal time in Pitt wrestling. The recent hiring of Pitt alumni and 2x U.S. National Champion Keith Gavin was a source of some controversy among wrestling observers and all eyes are on the squad as they attempt a return to national prominence. As our Pitt wrestling insider, Stephen will be an invaluable source of news and knowledge about the team.

Stephen attended Mt. Lebanon High School, where he was on the wrestling team and earned his degree at Gettysburg College, although he didn’t wrestle in college, instead focusing on academics. After graduating from Gettysburg, he went to Pitt for graduate school earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy. Stephen’s brother Matt also attended Pitt, where he was a four year member of the wrestling team.

When he’s not writing about Pitt Wrestling, Stephen enjoys hockey, politics, finance, and fishing. Not necessarily in that order.
