Pitt’s last prospect camp of the month produced a verbal commitment.

New Jersey 2018 tight end Matt Alaimo from St. Joseph Regional in Montvale, New Jersey becomes the latest recruit to commit to Pat Narduzzi. Alaimo is high school teammates with Pitt 2018 quarterback commitment Nick Patti.

Alaimo (6-foot-4, 225 pounds) is Pitt’s 10th commitment and second tight end recruit (Jay Symonds).

The 247 Sport 3-star tight end selected Pitt over offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Louisville, Minnesota, Tennessee, NC State, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Does today’s commitment end Pitt recruiting any other tight end? I was told prior to this commitment that they’d only be taking one more.

I bring this up because of East Allegheny tight end T.J. Banks. He’s been a year long target of Pitt but did this end their recruitment of him?
