In our constant attempt to add more coverage for you the readers, Pittsburgh Sports Now is expanding our coverage of the high school football regular season.
If this is successful, we will expand this blueprint to another county for the 2018 season. For the upcoming season, PSN will heavily cover the Beaver County football teams and will select a weekly Beaver County Game of the Week to staff. Rich Donahue, who was our Duquesne basketball beat reporter last season, will be our guy on the Beaver County beat for this new venture.
We will give specifics near the start of the season but look for a daily Beaver County story/feature, rankings, plays/player of the week, etc. This means we will do more than just cover a game on Friday night. The exact Sunday to Saturday planner is still being developed so stay tuned for that.
This new coverage won’t change the way we cover Pitt football, high school recruiting and PSN will continue to cover any major WPIAL high school story. We think this idea is another way to expose more and different readers to our website and are excited to start this up.
