**With Paris Ford and Jordan Whitehead not in camp, the top four safeties for Pitt are Bricen Garner, Dennis Briggs, Jay Stocker and Phil Campbell.
UPDATE (4:20 PM)-
**Here are a few observations after two days of Pitt camp-
–Pitt strength coach Dave Andrews has this team in great shape. It’s very apparent these players have spent a ton of time in the weight room. Aside from some of the true freshman, it’s nearly impossible to find a player that isn’t “ripped.” Yesterday, the player that just stood out to me as far as his physical appearance was defensive end Rashad Weaver. Today, it was another defensive end Allen Edwards, his arms and biceps were HUGE.
–Jordan Whitehead was once again not working out with the team and no timetable was given for when he’d make his camp debut. I get the sense that “The Jordan Whitehead Watch” could become a distraction. During the interview with DC Josh Conklin, the Whitehead questions eventually got caught off after it was apparent Conklin had nothing more to add on the subject. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pat Narduzzi stopped taking questions about him until he starts practicing. For now, the reason for his absence is believed to be academic related.
