4-star Forward Saddiq Bey Visits Pitt

Turning the fortunes of a college basketball program is easier than do it in college football.

With football you’re dealing with a roster of over 100 players as opposed to a 12-15 man basketball roster.

In basketball it takes a couple high level recruits which will give you the chance to win games.

Kevin Stallings and his staff are searching for those program changing players and recently hosted one that many believe can be special.

4-star forward Saddiq Bey from Washington DC recently made an unofficial visit to Pitt and came away impressed.

Bey (6-foot-7, 195 pounds) is rated as one of the Top 100 players in the country and holds offers from Florida, Georgetown, Miami, Notre Dame, Northwesten, Rhode Island, Virginia Tech, NC State and Temple.

“I liked the visit. I enjoyed the campus and the talk with coaches. I didn’t really know what to expect going into the visit but after really sitting down with the coaches and talking it was great,” said Bey.

“I liked the connection and the plan that they have in place. I was able to talk to them about development and what they have in store for the program it was something that stood out to me.”

Bey is an elite level player that the Pitt program would love to get and he definitely felt like a priority to the Pitt coaches.

“I left the visit knowing that I was a big priority and that made me feel good,” said Bey.

The timing of the visit could be good for Pitt because Bey tells PSN that he’s going to announce a list of finalists, likely this week.
