Williams (5-9, 155) had over 20 offers and selected Pitt over Wisconsin and Minnesota. He also holds offers from Clemson, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Penn State, Rutgers and Wake Forest.

By the way, Williams uncle is former Steeler and longtime NFL safety Tyrone Carter.

Williams is now Pitt’s 13th verbal commitment and their second cornerback.

Pitt continues with its Florida takeover. Last year, they got commitments from AJ Davis (Lakeland), Michael Smith (Vero Beach), Damarri Mathis (Lakeland), Deslin Alexander (Deerfield Beach), Jerry Drake (Palm Beach), Dontavius Butler (Plantation) and Albert Tucker (Ft. Lauderdale). Williams is the first commitment this year and another one could be on the way.
