The Pitt football team hosted a number of sophomore, junior and senior recruits today. Unfortunately for Pitt, the results today weren’t what they were hoping for as they were blown out by a very good Oklahoma State team.
The big question was does a performance like this have any impact on the recruits at Heinz Field?
Following the game, PSN reached out to a number of these recruits to get their reaction to today’s visit to Pitt.
(We’ll update this as we hear back from various recruits).
Kwantel Raines, Safety, Aliquippa:
“It was a tough loss for Pitt but they have one of the best coaches in college football and they will turn it around. Pitt still one of my Top 5 and nothing will change that.”
Cole Beck, RB, Virginia:
“I really enjoyed my day at pitt. It was great being around the coaches again. And met some commits and some current players. I got to talk to the track coaches! They really worked to make me feel comfortable here. The outcome of the game didn’t affect me”
Taylor Harris, 2019 Cornerback, Virginia:
“Today was a great opportunity for me to return to my hometown (originally from Penn Hills). I love everything about Pitt football. Being able to see Coach Sherman was great also. I look forward to continuing to build a relationship with him. Although struggling in today’s game, I know how good this team will be in the near future. What impressed me about today’s game was the drive and desire to continue to fight until the end, that’s my type of mentality. I can see myself as a future contributor on this team in the secondary and as a specialist. Can’t wait for the day I receive a Pitt offer, until then I will continue to grind & stay focus throughout my Junior year. #H2P”
Denver Light, 2019 LB, Tyrone, PA:
“The facilities were unbelievable. The weight room and the equipment in it was amazing. The locker room and the nutrition area was clean. Walking out of that tunnel on Heinz field was a blessing.”
