Louisville was first, could Arizona be next?

The college basketball FBI fraud and bribery investigation added another chapter this morning.

Arizona Desert Swarm, SBNation’s Arizona Wildcats sports website is reporting that an Arizona assistant appears to have offered a 2018 recruit $150,000 to come play for Miller and Arizona.

When this scandal first broke on Tuesday, Book Richardson, a long-time Miller assistant, was one of the assistants named by the FBI.

More information could come out soon with other Arizona players that received payments to attend Tucson.

This is definitely not a good look for Miller, who’s earned the reputation in the last few years as one of college basketball’s elite recruiters.

This news got me to look back at a quote from Miller’s father John when he was interviewed by John Harris of the Tribune Review. This quote came from John Miller when asked about Sean’s lack of interest in the Pitt job when Jamie Dixon left.

It’s too big of a recruiting gap for him to take that job……He has everything you need. His recruiting right now, he’s got guys from New York, Atlanta, Finland.”

I just think it’s (Pitt) a very, very difficult job.”

I’ll let you contemplate the meaning of those comments, especially combined with today’s breaking news.
