The Massachusetts player was Pitt’s first commitment in the 2018 class and now leaves the Panthers with 13 commitments.

New Jersey’s Matt Alaimo is Pitt’s lone tight end commit this year.

From what we understand, Symonds de-commitment had nothing negative to do with Pitt. We hope to talk with Symonds later today to learn more about this story.

UPDATE (7:50 PM)-

**Symonds has given a verbal commitment to Stanford.
