Jay Vidovich’s turnaround of the Pitt men’s soccer team continued last night with a dramatic victory.
Javi Perez’s overtime goal lifted Pitt to a 3-2 overtime win over Penn State. The win was the Panthers first over Penn State since 1978 and snapped a nine-game Penn State winning streak.
Other goal scorers for Pitt last night were by freshman Marcony Pimental and Alexander Dexter.

Thanks to the dramatics in overtime, Pitt earned their seventh win of the season (7-6), the first time they’ve reached that mark since the 2008 season when they finished the season 7-8-2.
Next up for Pitt is a match up in South Bend against seventh ranked Notre Dame.
