Julian Majors is a senior wide receiver from Penn Hills that most people in the WPIAL are familiar with as he’s committed to play next season at Michigan State.

But Penn Hills has another talented receiver that at this time next year will be getting plenty of interest from FBS programs.

In fact, he’s receiving some early interest from Pitt.

Dante Cephas is a junior wide receiver who has the skill set to play at a Division I school. Cephas has size (6-foot-1), speed and big play capability.

PSN caught up with Cephas to talk about his talks with Pitt and get an update on his recruitment.

“Pitt and I first started talking seriously at a 7-on-7 camp at Pitt and we’ve continued to talk. Pitt is a good school that is seriously consider going to if I got an offer,” said Cephas.

Cephas was one of the recruits that was at Heinz Field last weekend for the game vs. Virginia.

”I’ve talked with Coach Harley and Coach Sherman but I talk with Coach Harley the most. Coach Harley came to my school at the beginning of this week and was talking to me about grades and to keep them up. He also just told me to keep doing what I’m doing”

”What they’ve said they like most about me is my speed and my size. I have really long arms and am able to go up and get the ball,” said Cephas.

At this point, Pitt hasn’t offered Cephas but he’s hoping that changes soon.

Aside from Pitt, West Virginia, Toledo, UMass, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Penn State have expressed early interest in this Penn Hills native.

As far as unofficial visits, Cephas has made Saturday trips to Penn State, Cincinnati and is going to be in East Lansing today for the Penn State-Michigan State game.

Cephas is definitely a player PSN will keep you updated on over the next two years.
