Since taking over at Pitt, Pat Narduzzi has made recruiting the Washington DC area a priority.

Last night, Pitt’s ace DC recruiter, Andre Powell, handed out a number of scholarships to both junior and sophomore players.

Here’s a quick bio on the five players that received offers from Pitt.

Moses Douglass: 2019 4-star cornerback from Springfield, Ohio. Douglass (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) is rated as one of the Top 20 junior cornerbacks in the country holding 25+ offers including ones from Alabama, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Michigan, Louisville, Iowa, Kentucky and Minnesota.

”I talked to Coach Hill on the phone and he offered me,” said Douglass.

“He said the way I play would fit in with their system and what they wanted to do. I’d say my biggest strength is my mind and my ball skills.”

”I like Pitt’s connection with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I’m mostly likely going to visit Pitt again in the spring.”

Aman Greenwood: 2019 3-star cornerback from St. John’s HS (Washington, DC). Greenwood (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) holds offers from Boston College, Rutgers and Syracuse.

”When I got out of school today I saw my coach in the hallway and he told me he had good news for me and then told me Pitt had called him this morning and offered me. I was surprised because I wasn’t expecting a new offer at that very moment. I was happy with the news,” said Greenwood.

”I think the strength of my game is being able to play any position in the secondary and the physicality that I play with. I also have a great knowledge of the game.”

”This offer stands out because I had an uncle that went to Pitt and he tells me many great things about the school. I will be visiting the school around Thanksgiving.”

Rakim Jarrett: 2020 4-star wide receiver from St. John’s HS (Washington, DC). Jarrett (6-foot, 182 pounds) is rated as one of the top 70 sophomores by 247 Sports with offers from Boston College, Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

“When I got out of school today my coach came up to me and said Coach Powell and Pitt were offering me a scholarship. I was really happy to hear the news especially because Pitt was one of the first schools to ever talk to me back in September of 2016,” said Jarrett.

”I believe the strengths of my game would include my speed and my route running, both could improve though.”

“One thing that really stands out to me about Pitt is the fact that they share facilities with the Steelers including Heinz Field which is great because you get a chance day in and out to see how pros really work.

“I really loved Pitt when I went up with my team last season so a visit will definitely happen.  I just have to find out when will be a good time due to my season and holidays,” said Jarrett.

Tre’mon Morris-Brash: 2019 3-Star defensive end from St. John’s HS (Washington, DC). Morris-Brash holds offers from Boston College, Maryland, North Carolina, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia.

Keilan Robinson: 2019 3-Star running back from St. John’s HS (Washington, DC). Robinson holds offers from Virginia Tech, Penn State, North Carolina, Michigan State, Maryland, Boston College and Rutgers.
