Pitt Men’s Basketball Team Visits Children’s Hospital

Last Friday, Kevin Stallings and the Pitt men’s basketball team visited Children’s Hospital before their trip to play in the Progressive Legends Classic in Brooklyn.

The team spent time with the kids and families playing games and signing autographs and giving out memorabilia.

“It was a great opportunity to put things in perspective knowing certain things we worry about playing basketball aren’t as important and also realizing the impact that we can make outside of the game,” said freshman guard Marcus Carr. “Seeing the smiles on the kid’s faces when we came to spend time with them was impactful. My favorite part was just the interaction, playing games and having fun. Coach was spinning the ball on some of the kid’s fingers, which was cool because none of them thought they could do it. I know that made them feel good because we hyped them up and gave them a big round of applause.”

A video of the visit was released on the Pitt You Tube page, which you can watch below.
