The second official visit weekend for Pitt resulted in a verbal commitment and this comes from a surprise recruit.
247 Sports Steve Wiltfong reports that Ventura C.C. quarterback Ricky Town has committed to Pitt.
Town (6-4, 215) is a former 4-star recruit out of high school in California. Town was rated as the #6 Pro-Style quarterback coming out of high school and ranked the #79 overall player.
Town committed to Alabama while in high school but flipped to USC. Town’s stay at USC was short as he left USC two weeks into camp. Following USC, he committed to Arkansas where he stayed for a year before going to Ventura C.C.
This is a real interesting commitment for Pitt and would likely mean the end of recruitment of JUCO QB Kai Locksley, who also visited this weekend.
Town will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Ricky Town was under consideration as the No. 1 overall QB in 2015 recruiting class at one point. Now he's on to his third Power 5 program. https://t.co/TTKqlQMPUt

Town was once the highest-ranked QB in the loaded 2015 class that includes Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold. Been a long road to Pitt> from USC to Arkansas to JC to the ACC now. https://t.co/wRZqkCZ9t2
