A big junior target for Pitt could be making a visit to campus this Saturday.

“I’m still waiting on a response from Coach Watson to make sure that I can get in on Saturday. I’m hoping to get to Pitt on Saturday but things aren’t completely finalized yet. If I do go, we’ll spend some time with Coach Watson and Coach Narduzzi and keep building that relationship that we already have and talk some football,” said Bazelak.

“Coach Watson has told me that I’d be a great fit for their offense and I could see myself playing there just from watching a couple of their games last year. When I visited Pitt last year, I really liked all the coaches and the facilities.”

Prior to talking to PSN, Bazelak was in communication with another college coach and he tells us that he can feel that his recruitment is picking up.

“A couple of months ago, I was really just focused on getting more offers and getting more schools involved but not that I have a good amount of offers, I think I’m now starting to look at differences and pros and cons of different schools.”

Bazelak (6-foot-4, 205-pounds), who’s from Archbishop Alter High School in Dayton, Ohio currently holds an offer list of Pitt, Boston College, Kentucky, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

“Right now, I’m hearing a lot from Vanderbilt, Pitt, Rutgers, Boston College and West Virginia. I plan on going to Duke and North Carolina in the spring for a visit who are also showing interest,” said Bazelak.

As far as timeline for making a decision, Bazelak says that he definitely wants to make a decision prior to the start of his senior season.

UPDATE (7:07 PM)-

Received this message from Bazelak an hour after publishing the story:

“Coach Watson just got back with me, he said all the coaches are gone this weekend at clinics so I won’t be going this weekend but I will be up to Pitt sometime in March.”
