Report: Charlie Partridge Interviews For Alabama DL Job

Published

In what could turn out to be the biggest news of Pitt’s offseason, Pat Narduzzi could be in danger of losing a valuable member of his staff.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that Pitt defensive line coach Charlie Partridge has interviewed for the vacant job of defensive line coach at Alabama.

Nick Saban is looking to replace Karl Dunbar, who left on Feb. 8 to become the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive line coach.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has reached out to various members of the Pitt football program to confirm these reports but haven’t received a return message yet.

Partridge has experience coaching in the SEC as he was assistant head coach and defensive line coach at Arkansas in 2013.

It’s hard to quantify the potential impact of losing Partridge would be for Pitt both as a position coach as well as a recruiter. Florida has become Pitt’s top out of state recruiting territory and no ones recruits the state of Florida better than Partridge.

PSN will continue to work this story in order to find new information.
