Pat Narduzzi has filled another position in his football operations department.
It looks as though Paris Johnson Sr. has been hired as Pitt’s new Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
That position became vacant a few weeks ago when Da’vell Winters left to rejoin the Oregon football program.
Here’s some background on Johnson Sr., he worked at Michigan State as a graduate assistant and in the recruiting department. Prior to him coming to Pitt, he worked at Savannah State as a defensive backs coach.
An interesting side note to this hire is that Johnson Sr. is the father of Paris Johnson Jr, one of the top sophomores in the country.
Johnson Jr. (6-foot-7, 260 pounds) is an offensive tackle at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. This elite prospect already holds offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Miami Fla, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford and Tennessee.
To say that he’s an elite prospect would be an understatement.
Johnson Jr. and his mother made an unofficial visit to Pitt two weeks ago.
