Pitt Practice Notebook, Sights and Sounds: March 15

Published

on

Thursday was the third day of spring practice for Pitt on the South Side, but it was the first day the Panthers went full-bore with shoulder pads and contact.

The units seem pretty similar to they way the looked at the beginning of the week, but when the hitting starts, different people stand out, like getting to see fullback George Aston seal the edge on a sweep for Darrin Hall.

Aston missed almost all of the 2017 season with a pair of injuries. Wide receiver Tre Tipton, who missed 2017 with a knee injury, was also back on the field, taking some hits and getting work in.

Before the live reps, the offense focused on ball security Thursday morning, with head coach Pat Narduzzi getting down on the ground to demonstrate proper technique. Check it out in the sights and sounds.
