All week, Pittsburgh Sports Now has been reporting on various members of the Pitt basketball team that have received a release from their basketball scholarship.
Three of the players that we reported on have begun to receive interest from other programs in the event they decide to transfer from Pitt. From the list of schools that are showing interest, it’s obvious that other programs consider these players to be talented.
Evan Daniels of 247 Sports says that guard Parker Stewart is hearing from Maryland, Nebraska, USC, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, St. John’s, West Kentucky, Wyoming. As we’ve reported, Stewart could also choose to go play for his father at UT-Martin.
Corey Evans of Rivals reports that guard Marcus Carr is hearing from Texas, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Iowa State, Gonzaga, Xavier, UMass and Marquette.
Shamiel Stevenson also tells PSN that he is receiving interest from multiple schools but didn’t want to disclose the names of the programs.
