PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Central Regional safety Peter Nazario is one of two high-profile New Jersey recruits set to visit Pitt Thursday.

Nazario and Immaculata wide receiver Lord Jones will be in attendance for the Panthers’ 11th spring practice, and Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Nazario on the eve of his visit.

Thursday will represent Nazario’s second visit to the Steel City. He took in the Panthers’ 24-14 upset of Miami back in late November.

“That’s the game I got to see when I was invited out there so that was a big day for me,” Nazario said. “It was a good game to see, and that’s when the recruiting process with Pitt took off.”

Despite already taking in a Pitt game, this will be Nazario’s first chance to tour the program’s facilities and walk around campus.

“I got to go to the game so I got to see the stadium, Heinz Field,” Nazario said. “But I’m really looking forward to looking at the facilities and seeing the energy at practice and how the coaches coach the players up.”

The 5-foot-10 prospect added he’s excited to take a closer look at the city of Pittsburgh, too.

“I didn’t really get to see the city much last time I was there so being able to go around the city is going to be really cool,” Nazario said.

Nazario visited Temple and Lafayette earlier this week and recently made stops at Syracuse and Wake Forest.

According to his Twitter account, Nazario is talking with at least four different ACC schools, with Boston College being the fourth. The 2019 prospect said the four conference opponents are primarily recruiting him to play safety.
