Conley (6-foot-7, 315 pounds) became the latest player to receive an offer from Pitt.

“I’ve been in contact with Pitt a lot. One of my buddies (Garrett Braden) that visited Pitt earlier this year told me that Pitt was awesome and that I had to go check them out, so I took his word for it and he was right,” said Conley.

”The fact that they’re next door to the Steelers and share practice fields with them is great. Coaches were telling us everyday that they’re walking off from practice the Steelers are walking out for practice. That’s insane.”

I asked Conley about receiving the offer and his reaction to it.

“I received the offer before the game. My mom and I drove in from Ohio State yesterday morning. We got to the facility yesterday around 11:20 AM and they told me that Coach Narduzzi wanted to see me. We went to his office and sat down and talked with him and then he offered me. He said that he watched my film and really liked my athleticism, my size and my physicality,” said Conley.

Conley’s trip to Pittsburgh carried over to today as this morning he went for a tour of the practice facility and the campus.

Along with Pitt, Conley also has offers from Boston College, Virginia, Arizona State, Indiana, Rutgers and Syracuse.

”Overall, I really liked what I saw on the campus, the whole campus just had a good feeling to it. I really liked the Peterson Events Center. Overall, I really like Pitt and I definitely have a lot of interest.”
