Jeff Capel Hires Milan Brown to Fill Final Assistant Spot

Jeff Capel has made his final hire in order to fill out his coaching staff.

Per Jon Rothstein, Capel will name College of Charleston’s Milan Brown as one of his three assistant coaches joining Tim O’Toole and Jason Capel.

Brown, 47, has been on the staff at Charleston since 2015. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Mount St. Mary’s (2003-10) and then Holy Cross (2010-15). Brown first eight years in college, were as an assistant at Old Dominion (1995-97), Mount St. Mary’s (1997-2000), William & Mary (2000-02) and then Mount St. Mary’s (2002-03).

Brown was an accomplished player on the court as he played for and had his number retired at Howard.

Brown has a reputation for having a strong recruiting presence in the Mid-Atlantic region.
