The “dead” period for recruiting is over with which means college coaches are allowed back on the road recruiting and visiting players. PSN will be tracking the visits by the Pitt coaches so stay with us for updates. Where will the Pitt coaches go first Now that they’re free to get back out?

UPDATE (8:49 PM)-

**Tonight, Jeff Capel made his first new offer. 2019 point guard Trey McGowens (6-4, 175) from Hargrove Military Academy gets the offer. McGowens is rated by Rivals as one of the Top 100 juniors in the country.

An interesting visit tomorrow for Jeff Capel. Andrew Slater from The Athletic is reporting that Capel is going to watch freshman guard Adrian Griffin Jr (6-4, 155) from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York. Griffin already holds offers from Providence, Maryland, St. John’s and Manhattan.

**Lackawanna C.C. defensive end Savion Williams receives an offer from Pitt today. Tim Salem was at his practice today.

Tim Salem is currently at the Lackawanna C.C. practice watching offensive tackle Anthony Whigan (6-5, 290), who holds an offer from Pitt. Aside from Pitt, Whigan has offers from Maryland, Cincinnati, Louisville, NC State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, TCU and West Virginia.

Jeff Capel isn’t the only local basketball coach out recruiting. Duquesne’s Keith Dambrot was at First Love Christian Academy watching 2020 point guard Isaiah Wilson. Here’s how a local talent evaluator described Wilson to PSN- “Very quick and crafty point guard. Sees the floor well and is a really good playmaker. I expect him to be a mid-major/high-major player.” Wilson started this past season as a sophomore and will play with the EYBL All Ohio 16U team this summer. He currently holds an offer from Winthrop.

UPDATE (1:40 PM)-

**Ohio cornerback Nyles Beverly messaged us to say that Pitt offensive coordinator Shawn Watson just stopped by to see him. Beverley is a talented two way player that holds an offer from Michigan.

UPDATE (12:24 PM)-

**Cornerback Tiawan Mullen (Coconut Creek High School, Pompano Beach, Florida) tells PSN that he will make an official visit to Pitt the weekend of June 15-17. Mullen (5-10, 160) holds offers from TCU, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Syracuse and Central Florida.

UPDATE (11:21 AM)-

**A member of the Pitt staff will be at Bishop McDevitt High School (Harrisburg) to see 2019 wide receiver Nazir White. The 3-star recruit holds offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo, Boston College, Cincinnati and UConn. At this point, Pitt hasn’t offered White.

**From what I understand, Pitt linebacker coach and Recruiting Coordinator Rob Harley is getting locally today. I’ll have some details in a bit.

**Kevin Sherman is in Harrisburg today visiting with a linebacker that holds an offer from Pitt. PSN has learned that Sherman is visiting with outside linebacker Andre White (6-3, 217) from Harrisburg High School. Aside from Pitt, White also has offers from Penn State, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, West Virginia, Maryland and Rutgers.

UPDATE (8:37 AM)-

**Pitt defensive coordinator Randy Bates will be in Ohio today visiting with a highly rated target. PSN is being told that Bates will be at Pickerington High School to see 2019 defensive tackle DeWayne Carter. Aside from Pitt, Carter also holds offers from Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

UPDATE (6:58 AM)-

**Norwin 3-star safety Jayvon Thrift was contacted last night by Virginia Tech and Indiana, who offered him last week. Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Army also have contacted him recently and James Franklin recently told him to “keep grinding, I’ll be in touch.”

**We spoke with Florida 3-star TE Nikolas Ognenovic last night who told us that he talked with Pat Narduzzi yesterday about trying to schedule his official visit to Pitt the weekend of June 15-17. I believe this is a very positive development for Pitt’s chances to land this talented player.

UPDATE (6:38 AM)-

**A source tells PSN that Randy Bates is expected in Reynoldsburg, Ohio tomorrow to watch 4-star athlete Mershawn Rice and his team workouts. Rice has been a major Pitt target for over a year.

UPDATE (6:27 AM)-

**Over the weekend, Pitt offered another player from Georgia. 2019 3-star safety Jamal Hill (6-2, 185) from Morrow, Georgia received the offer. Hill received the offer from Archie Collins.
