Ohio is a place that Pitt has a good track record of recruiting running backs from.

Kay’Ron Adams is a junior running back from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio and appears to be a player on Pitt’s radar.

Adams (5-10, 190) is a 247 Sports 3-star recruit with offers from Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron, Kent State and Miami of Ohio but is still looking for his first Power Five offer.

Will Pitt be the first for Adams?

”We started talking a couple of weeks ago and as they say, we’re building our relationship right now,” said Adams. “Pitt wants me to get down for a camp so I can run a bit.”

”This past week, Coach Powell came to my high school to see me for a bit. He wanted to come see me and get to know me more as a person and as a player. I think he was trying to get a feel for me. He said they’re not the type of school to just offer everyone, they want to make sure everything is right.”

Adams describes the strengths of his game are his speed, vision on the field and ability to pick up his blocks and getting to the endzone.

I asked Adams what it would mean for him to get an offer from Pitt, his first Power Five offer.

”Thsr would be really big and I would be really honored,” said Adams. “I’m just going to remain patient and keep working. I’m not going to force anything and will just wait for that first Power Five offer and keep working hard everyday.”

Adams tells PSN that he has an upcoming visit planned to Cincinnati but nothing definite scheduled with Pitt just yet.
