Pitt-Penn State to Play Under the Lights This Year

Published

on

The Pitt-Penn State game this year just got even bigger.

Today it was announced that the game will have a kickoff time of 8 PM at Heinz Field.

This will be the first evening kickoff for a Pitt-Penn State game since November 14, 1987.

The game will be televised in front of a national audience on ABC.

This will be Pitt’s first home 8 PM kickoff on ABC since 2013 when they defeated Notre Dame, 28-21.

This is the last scheduled game in Pittsburgh between the schools as the 4-year contract will expire next year in State College.

This rivalry dates all the way back to 1893 (98 games) with Penn State having the series lead 51-43-4.
