Grad Transfer Kiy Hester Selects Florida Interntional

Unlike some commitments the last couple of days, this news doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Just minutes ago, Rutgers grad transfer announced on Twitter that he’d be playing his last year for Butch Davis and Florida International.

A few days ago, Hester told PSN that Pitt was high on his list but it’s not known if Pitt felt the same way at this stage of the season.

Once Pat Narduzzi awarded long snapper Cal Adomitis and with Pitt having a strong chance to land Arkansas tight end grad transfer Will Gragg, there didn’t appear to be a scholarship left for Hester.

Another factor playing into this is Pitt’s need for a tight end over a safety. While Hester’s experience would’ve been nice, it would’ve been a luxury compared to the lack of depth at tight end.
