Insider Access: Pitt Baseball Coach Joe Jordano

Exclusively for our Die-Hards subscribers, here’s Alan’s one-on-one interview with Pitt baseball head coach Joe Jordano from last week.

PITTSBURGH — The Pitt baseball team just clinched its first-ever berth in the ACC Tournament.

Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with skipper Joe Jordano before the Panthers’ final series of the season this weekend against the No. 7 Clemson Tigers.

The Panthers needed one win in the three-game series or one loss by Virginia Tech over the weekend to clinch a tournament spot. The Hokies lost the first game of their series against North Carolina on Thursday, locking a bid for Pitt.

The 27-23 Panthers have already won more games than in any other season since joining the ACC in 2014 and have tied the program record for ACC wins with 11.
