Jeff Capel and his staff continue to make progress recruiting one of the top junior big men in the country.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Kennedy Catholic 4-star center Oscar Tshiebwe (6-foot-9, 230 pounds) will be making a visit to Pitt this coming Monday.

Capel made Tshiebwe a priority immediately after accepting the Pitt job as his first visit was to Kennedy Catholic for Tshiebwe and his teammate Maceo Austin.

Although assistant Tim O’Toole has assisted in this recruiting, from what we understand, Capel has been the main recruiter for this elite talent.

Sometime in June, PSN understands that Tshiebwe will make a trip to Morgantown to visit with Bob Huggins and West Virginia. After the July AAU live period is finished with, he is likely to make a couple more visits.

Tshiebwe is currently ranked the 54th best junior in the country by Rivals.
