Pittsburgh Sports Now was able to contact some of the players that worked yesterday to get their reaction to the day.

Zack Helsey, Erie LB/RB: “I had a great time at the camp. I learned so much and most importantly got better.”

Caleb Quinn, Ohio WR/DE: “I really enjoyed getting the opportunity to come to the camp today and get such a good experience. I had a great time meeting all the coaches and they were all such a big help. I look forward to seeing them again.”

Colby Whitehall, Pennsylvania lineman: “The Pitt camp was a good experience getting out there and realizing what I have to do to reach the next level. It was a good experience and really opened my eyes to what football at the next level looks like. It was also fun at the same time getting to meet Pitt players and coaches.”

Marc Rumpke, Kentucky lineman: “I had a great experience. The coaches gave a lot of feedback especially Coach Patton who gave lots of personal feedback to me as a player. Coach Narduzzi was inspirational because he taught us to do everything with high energy.”

Marcus Barnes, Jeannette wide receiver: “It was live. Great school. Everything around it was fun and lots of stuff to do and a lot of hard football.”

Charlie Katarincic, Shady Side freshman lineman: “I thought the camp was a really good experience. As a freshman it was my first camp and I was familiar with Coach Harley and a few of the other coaches from various colleges. The thing that really impressed me was that the camp wasn’t too focused on the recruitment aspect. It was instead focused on getting better and the development of players. I look forward to going back for the next couple years.”

Jahlil Watson, New York LB/DB: “The experience was great and the atmosphere was like no other. Coach Salem and Coach Harley said they’ll keep in touch with me and want to see some film from this coming season.”

Alex Huzicka, Ohio TE: “I had a great experience! The coaches taught me a lot and I felt really at home. They told me I did really well and they’re interested in me at the F position on offense.”
