Latrobe’s Trent Holler’s visit to Pitt today had a different feel than the one over the weekend.

Holler went into the weekend’s camp with a feeling that he needed and wanted to prove something to the Panthers staff.

Mission accomplished as he was awarded a Pitt offer.

Today, as he made an unofficial visit to Pitt, Holler entered with confidence knowing the coaches would be putting on a full court press to try and impress him.

“Today the coaches treated me like they really wanted me to be a member of their team,” said Holler. “They told me how they believe I can be a part of great things and win championships with them.”

”Pitt is recruiting me to play defensive tackle and as we arrived and pulled into the parking lot and into the facility, coach was waiting for me,” said Holler. “As we opened the doors to the facility, the whole defensive staff was there waiting for me. That plus them telling me over and over again how much they want me was nice.”

For Holler, a lot is going on recruiting wise. Aside from visiting Pitt, he also received an offer today from West Virginia and is planing on visiting Michigan State on Thursday.

Did today’s trip to the South Side change or speed up his decision timetable or is he still going to take his time?

“Pitt never said that they want a decision from me soon,” said Holler. “Coach said don’t make any decision until you’re completely ready. My recruitment is still open but Pitt is a great offer to have.”
