Pitt Recruits Give Their Pre-Official Visit Thoughts

On the eve of what could be the biggest number of players to take their official visits to Pitt this year, PSN reached out to these players to get their thoughts prior to their weekend in Pittsburgh.

Some players are arriving in town tonight while others will arrive tomorrow morning.

As we’ve previously reported, 11 of the players visiting will be from the state of Florida.

Here’s what players are saying to PSN prior to the big weekend:

Kaleb Boateng, OT (Fort Lauderdale, Florida): “Pittsburgh is definitely one of my top universities currently. Out of all my offers, I️ would say they have the greatest tradition. I️’m looking to really feel the energy and vibe around the entire program.”

Dane Belton, CB (Tampa, Florida): “I can’t wait to get up there. I’ve been talking with Coach Narduzzi and Coach Harley and they express that I’m an important part of this class so I can’t wait to see everything they have to offer. Pitt is high on my list.”

Julian Hernandez, OL (Fort Lauderdale, Florida): “I’m just looking forward to meeting the staff of the program, seeing all the facilities, and most of all just having a good time. It’s my first official visit and I’m looking forward to see what’s in store.”

Daniel Carter, RB (Fort Lauderdale, Florida): “Pitt has been showing that I’m a priority and taking a visit up there can help me better understand Pitt and the program and the city.”

Keshun Brown, S (Montgomery, Alabama): “I’m looking forward to seeing the facility and what Pitt has to offer. Pitt is one of my top choices.”

Khadry Jackson, S/LB (Orlando, Florida): “Im just looking forward to having a good time , and Pitt is a school I like a lot.”

Brandon Mack, DE (Montgomery, Alabama): “I’m looking to see what what kind a family is there, like are the players interactive and if the coaches welcome me and treat me as one of their own and just see what vibe I’ll get when I’m there.”

Calijah Kancey, DT (Miami, Florida): “Pitt is in my top 5 and also I’m looking for a school who loves me and put me in a position so that’ll I’ll be able to succeed.”

Brandon Hill, S (Apopka, Florida): “I’m excited about going to Pitt this weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing the campus, interacting with the coaches and players. Also looking forward to seeing the city of Pittsburgh.”

Nikolas Ognenovic, TE (Fort Lauderdale, Florida): “I’m real excited, I’ve been up in Pitt before but my family hasn’t so I’m looking forward to the visit. Pitt is one of my top schools for sure. I’ve developed relationships with pretty much every offensive coach and that’s a good thing to have.”

Deandre Jules, DE (Germantown, Maryland): “ I’m looking for PITT to welcome me as I’m a player already and PITT is definitely one of my top choices.“
