Die-Hards: Examining the TE Depth Chart for Pitt

Published

on

The second “Pat Signal” of this recruiting season produced a talented, junior-college tight end.

Travis Koontz (6-5, 250) from Ventura College in California made a verbal commitment to Pitt while completing his official visit.

Koontz will have two years of playing eligibility for the Panthers and becomes the second “veteran” tight end that’s joined Pitt in the last month. Former Arkansas Razorback Will Gragg joined Pitt on June 6 as a graduate transfer and will also have two years of eligibility.

What does the addition of Koontz and Gragg mean for the depth chart and will they be pursuing anymore tight ends?
