“Pittsburgh is a beautiful city, and this will allow me to leave down south and experience a new thing and new part of the country,” said Mack. “The defensive that they run is great and will allow me to make a lot of plays. Also, I get to get coached by the best defensive line coach in the country. This scheme will allow me to be a dog and make a ton of plays and get that bag.
“This whole weekend surprised me and I didn’t expect to commit. Coming in, I never thought I’d see what I saw.”
What surprised Mack and impressed him most about the weekend?
“How beautiful Pittsburgh is and all the big, beautiful buildings,” said Mack. “I never been to Pittsburgh before and I didn’t know what to expect and didn’t know it would look this pretty. The academics are great so is the campus and like I said, they have the best defensive line coach in the country and he’ll get me to where I want to go.”
