Poll: Grade Pitt Football’s 2019 Recruiting Class So Far

Published

on

One month can make a big difference.

On June 1st, Pat Narduzzi had secured zero commitments for the class of 2019. Today, the Panthers have 14 commitments, and are currently ranked 28th in Rivals’ national recruiting rankings and 33rd in 247’s.

It’s a good start for a team that missed out on a bowl game and finished sub-.500 last year.

However, it’s still early, the Panthers lack of 4-star recruits will end up hurting them in the end (unless, of course, they end up signing a few down the line) and a lot of teams have fewer recruits than Pitt, which hurts their rankings. It’s also worth noting that Pitt hasn’t had a top 30 class since being ranked 29th on Rivals and 30th on 247 in 2016.

What’s your take? Happy with how things have progressed so far? Looking forward to a strong finish? Or do you remain unconvinced without any 4- or 5-star recruits on board?

What letter grade would you give Pat Narduzzi's 2019 recruiting class so far?
