Earlier this month, Duquesne women’s basketball coach Dan Burt said his 2018-19 non-conference schedule would “look like a Power Five football schedule.”
He wasn’t kidding. The Dukes’ non-conference slate, unveiled Wednesday, will feature five contests against teams with Power Five football programs and several other challenges.
Duquesne basketball on Pittsburgh Sports Now is sponsored by The Summit Academy: setting young men on the path to a better future.

It will start with a trip to the Lone Star State for a pair of games against TCU on Nov. 6 and Texas on Nov. 8.
They’ll start the A.J. Palumbo Center part of the schedule with Mount St. Mary’s on Nov. 12 before heading back on the road with stops at Toledo, St. Francis (Pa.) and Kent State to close the first month of the season.
In December, the Dukes visit Penn State on Dec. 5, come back to host Central Florida and East Tennessee State on Dec. 12 and 16. Then they’ll head to Syracuse and Liberty on Dec. 21 and 22 to finish up the road portion of their non-conference schedule.
The first half of the season will finish with the City Game against Pitt on Dec. 29 and the Dukes’ fifth game against an in-state foe in Temple on Jan. 2.
The Atlantic 10 portion of the Dukes’ schedule has not yet been released.
