Duquesne Releases 2018-19 Men’s Basketball Non-Conference Schedule

We now know the opposition for the 2018-19 Duquesne men’s basketball team.

Today, the school released their non-conference opponents for the upcoming season and it’s headlined by a trip to South Bend, Indiana to take on Notre Dame.

Here’s the schedule and the teams that will be making a trip to the A.J. Palumbo Center this season.

November 20:  at Notre Dame
November 25:  vs. UMass Lowell       (Palumbo Center)
November 30:  vs. Pitt                        (PPG Paints Arena)
December 5:    vs. Marshall                (Palumbo Center)
December 9:    vs. Longwood             (Palumbo Center)
December 13:  vs. Maryland Eastern-Shore  (Palumbo Center)
December 16   vs. Maine                    (Palumbo Center)
December 19   vs. Penn State             (PPG Paints Arena)
December 22  vs. Eastern Kentucky   (Palumbo Center)

Notes From Duquesne’s Schedule:
**Duquesne’s 20 home games this season (11 non-conference and 9 conference) are a new school record.

**3 of Duquesne’s first 4 opponents won 20 or more games last season with William & Mary winning 19 games. In all, 5 of Duquesne’s non-conference opponents won 20 or more games.

**Radford played in the 2018 NCAA Tournament and won a school-record 23 games.

**First time playing Notre Dame since 1995

**The site for Duquesne’s game vs. Radford is listed as TBA because Duquesne will be hosting the NCAA Division III Volleyball National Championship at the Palumbo Center November 15-17.

**Duquesne will host Marshall, which appeared in the NCAA Tournament last year for the first time in 31 years as they finished the season with a record of 25-11.

**Dukes will take on Penn State, the 2018 NIT Champions, at PPG Paints Arena on December 19.

**Duquesne will take on teams from 10 conferences this year.
