An Inside Look at a Scoring Factory Basketball Clinic

Proper instruction and fundamentals are important factors in improving your skills and getting better.

The earlier you start getting these instructions the better, and if you’re dedicated to working, there’s no doubt you’ll see improvement.

These are some of the principals that guide The Scoring Factory, the top youth basketball development training center in Western Pennsylvania. Their mission is to provide a positive environment in which players of all positions and sizes receive detailed analysis, specific instruction and constructive feedback.

Since 2009, Pete Strobl, the founder of The Scoring Factory, and his staff have gone from operating out of a gym in the South Side to branching out to numerous gyms and satellite locations around Western Pennsylvania.

Today, the instructors at The Scoring Factory made their way out to Hopewell High School to work with and give valuable instruction to youth players in the Hopewell district.

Prior to the workout, PSN’s Doug Biega sat down with Jermaine Turner, who is The Academy Director for The Scoring Factory. Turner provides more insight into the mission of The Scoring Factory: teaching life skills and teaching basketball skills.

The coaches from “The Scoring Factory” spent the morning working with the kids on fundamentals and then broke them into groups and put them through drills.
