Pitt BB Recruiting

4-Star Forward Anthony Walker Visiting Pitt This Week

Jeff Capel and his staff will be hosting a highly rated recruit later this week.

4-star forward Anthony Walker (6-8, 200) from Brewster Academy will make an unofficial visit to Pitt this weekend.

Rivals ranks Walker as one of the Top 100 juniors (#95) in the country and competed in AAU with Team BBC in the Adidas circuit.

It’s interesting that despite this high ranking, as far as we know, Pitt hasn’t extended an offer to Walker yet. It could just be a formality and Capel could offer him in person this weekend.

Schools that have offered Walker are Illinois, Kansas State, UMass, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph’s, Seton Hall, St. Bonaventure, TCU, UNLV, VCU and Wake Forest.

Walker has already made unofficial visits to Rhode Island, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech and East Carolina.

Talent evaluators believe Walker’s strengths are his athleticism and ability to defend multiple positions.
