This past Friday night we saw a bunch of top performers on football fields throughout Western Pennsylvania.
But one player stood out above the rest.
Our Dunkin’ Donuts WPIAL Player of the Week had more than a great game, it was a record breaking performance.
Highlands wide receiver Johnny Crise turned in a performance that would make Antonio Brown proud.
During his team’s 49-42 loss to Keystone Oaks, Crise caught 10 passes for 301 yards and 5 touchdowns. A performance broke three school records.
Crise set records for receiving yards in a game (301), total touchdowns (5) and longest receiving touchdown (99).
For being named our Player of the Week, Crise will receive a gift card courtesy of Dunkin’ Donuts, our official sponsor of WPIAL High School football.
It’s on to Week 2 and our Dunkin’ Donuts Game of the Week will be Central Catholic vs. North Allegheny.
