LONG WAIT

Two years ago, the game between Pitt and Penn State was just about to kick off. This year, there’s still eight hours to go. What are head coach Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers doing to pass the time?

They’ve left the team hotel on the North Shore and headed back to the South Side practice facility for a day of meetings, recovery training and and film study.

“We’re going to bring them back here [Saturday], bring them back in a familiar atmosphere, get them out of the hotel, watch some tape, have some special teams meetings, some offensive and defensive meetings, do a little recovery with them in the weight room, get their bodies feeling good, just to get them out of that hotel,” Narduzzi said Thursday. “I don’t want them sitting in those rooms all day.”

As far as Narduzzi, he’s tending to the long list of recruits that are visiting for the game, along with his weekly phone calls to the recruits that aren’t visiting.

“We’ve got recruiting calls to make,” he said. “We’re allowed one phone call a week. So, I’ll do a lot of my phone calls that day. We’ll have a lot of guys, a big list of visitors. It’s recruiting, I’ll be watching tape and I’ll be studying stuff.”

Here’s PSN list of recruits that will be attending the game:
