How Are Former WPIAL Stars Doing Since Leaving Pittsburgh?

North Allegheny cornerback Joey Porter Jr. passing on Pitt and committing yesterday to Penn State drew a bunch of local reaction.

As Pitt fans know, Porter isn’t the only high profile player in the last few years that has decided to pass up the opportunity to play for his hometown team.

Although the reaction has been slightly overblown, we decided to go back and check on the players that had offers from Pitt and signed elsewhere since the hiring of Pat Narduzzi.

As you will see, in some cases it has worked out and in others –at least athletically–it hasn’t.

Khaleke Hudson is easily the biggest loss. I could see an arguement made for some of the OL though given Pitt’s current OL situation.
