The honorary captain this week is Bobby Grier. Grier was a fullback and a linebacker from 1952 to 1955 and became the first African American to play in the Sugar Bowl in 1956.

Pitt will be wearing gold helmets, blue jerseys and white pants against Georgia Tech. The Panthers are 1-1 all-time wearing that combination. They beat Villanova in 2016 and lost to Oklahoma State in 2017.
The Yellow Jackets will wear all white.
