Dan Fisher’s team continues to win and move up the volleyball rankings.

In the latest American Volleyball Coaches Top 24 rankings, Pitt (13-0, 2-0) came in at #8. The Panthers started the season ranked #20 in the preseason rankings.

Pitt has tied their best start in school history, matching their 13-0 record in 1975. Also, with that perfect record, the Panthers are one of just three remaining unbeaten teams in the country (#1 BYU and #7 Illinois).

This has been a remarkable run for Fisher’s team.

Last year, Pitt won their first ACC Championship and eventually reached the NCAA Tournament. Prior to this year, the last time Pitt volleyball was ranked was back in 1992. Back then, they were #17 and won the Big East Championship.

Pitt will be back at the Fitzgerald Field House on Friday night for their next match against Miami.
