After coming so close to rocking the college football landscape for the third season in a row, Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi could do nothing but express dejection and disappointment with the Panthers’ 19-14 loss at No. 5 Notre Dame.
Pitt already had two chances to shock the world earlier this season, and both of those games turned into blowout losses against Penn State and UCF. This time around, the Panthers gave their highly-touted opponent all they could handle for four quarters, only to come up just short. Although he acknowledged there were some positives to take out of a game like this, he refused to accept the defeat as a moral victory.
Here’s the postgame reaction from Narduzzi, quarterback Kenny Pickett, wide receiver Maurice Ffrench, defensive end Rashad Weaver and cornerback Jason Pinnock.
