4-Star Forward Akok Akok Making Official Pitt Visit Today

Pitt will have the final shot with one of their top targets.

Putnam Academy 2019 4-star forward Akok Akok will be in Pittsburgh today for his final official visit.

Akok (6’-9” 200) will be choosing between Pitt, UConn, Georgetown, Providence and Syracuse.

The Pitt staff has made many trips to Connecticut to watch and strengthen their relationship with this talented big man.

While Pitt has done a great job of closing the gap and impressing Akok enough to become a finalist, all signs point to him staying home and joining Danny Hurley.

However, Pitt will finally get Akok on campus and around the team plus they’ll be the last team with a chance to make an impression on him.

Akok is one of the three 2019 big men that Capel and his staff have recruited extensively.

Rivals rates Akok as one of the top ten power forwards in the country and the 35th best overall junior.
