Pitt Picked Last By ACC Media

Published

on

It’s probably not a big surprise, considering that the Panthers were coming off an 0-19 season in conference play, but the ACC media predicted on Wednesday that the Panthers will finish in last place in the conference in the 2018-19.

The media panel produced that Duke will win the league, with Virginia, North Carolina, Syracuse and Clemson also getting first-place votes.

North Carolina’s Luke Maye was picked for the preseason all-ACC team and was joined on the first all-conference team by Syracuse’s Tyus Battle, Duke freshman RJ Barrett, Virginia’s Kyle Guy and Boston College’s Ky Bowman. Barrett was named the preseason freshman of the year.

Pitt did not have a player honored. Former Robert Morris guard Marcquise Reed, now a senior at Clemson, was named second-team all-conference.
