PITTSBURGH — It was the kind of game that was tough for everyone to feel good about.
Pitt’s defense was pushed around all day, conceding 45 points and 619 total yards to the Duke Blue Devils. Pitt’s passing game sputtered and faltered through most of the first three and a half quarters.
But Pitt ran the ball well, got a solid performance from kicker Alex Kessman and made enough plays late to come away with a 54-45 victory.
Here’s postgame reaction from head coach Pat Narduzzi, quarterback Kenny Pickett, wide receiver Maurice Ffrench, linebacker Seun Idowu and freshman cornerback V’Lique Carter, who made his debut on offense and was a key part of Pitt’s win.
