PITTSBURGH — It’s a battle for first place in the ACC Coastal Division tonight as Pat Narduzzi’s Pitt Panthers travel to Charlottesville, Virginia to take on Bronco Mendenhall’s Virginia Cavaliers.
It’ll also be something of a referendum on the status of the two programs, the only two that have yet to win a divisional title since Pitt joined the conference in 2013.
So this year’s contest between Pitt and Virginia, with first place on the line, will have an outsized effect on how the two coaches rebuilding programs are perceived.
